Lilly

She can’t hear me, but I still call her name.

I wave to her as I approach,

but her eyes fail to see.

The years go by, now nothing is the same.

Her coat needs brushed by me daily

Over her frail body.

For sixteen years she has been by my side.

A cuddly companion so loved.

My little girl Lilly.  💜
